Why I created this gratitude video…

Call it divine intervention, or a sheer stroke of luck, the how and why is up for debate.

As a teenager, I used to doodle poems on pieces of paper. That’s as far at it went — until one cold and frosty morning back in October 2007!

Don’t ask me why, but I awoke with a burning desire to write a poem. It felt as though my life depended on it. Forty five minutes later, after putting pen to paper, I had a complete poem in my hands simply entitled, “A Little Gratitude.”

The strange thing is that while writing, I was unaware that some 11 months before, I had registered a website domain name called – alittlegratitude.com. I had a habit of buying domain names with the intention to do something with them at a later stage, and in this case it was no different.

 Why one million gratitude comments…

Anyway, after sharing my poem and receiving positive feedback from a few trusted friends, I had an idea to use the internet to raise awareness of having and living with an attitude of gratitude, and I wanted to do this on a large scale. I took the words from my poem and created a slide show video, (the one you just watched above) and set myself an ambitious goal to get… “One Million Gratitude Comments” on this blog.

This is where you come in…

I need your help…

Better said, the entire world needs your help in raising awareness of embracing a life filled with gratitude. Doing so myself has changed my life for the better in so many ways, that it would take a few more pages to explain.

Here’s what I’d like you to do…

After watching the video, click on the link below, or any of the Gratitude comments in the sidebar of this page. You’ll be taken to the page where all the comments are written. Have a browse, read some of them. You’ll feel so much better after doing so. Then take 3 simple baby steps to help make this a great resource for bloggers all over the world.

  1. Write your own, straight from the heart gratitude comment.
  2. Use our “Facebook, and Twitter” buttons to share with all your friends.
  3. Come back and post again… surely you feel grateful more than once :-)

Thank you.
